We do not deduct for case replacements due to being broken, chipped, or having multiple stickers, as long as they comply with our cover art requirements. Similarly, we do not deduct for disc resurfacing if the disc meets our game condition grading and is repairable. There are no deductions for dry save batteries on Pokémon games, and we also do not deduct for handhelds that are missing chargers or stylus. Additionally, missing AV/HDMI cables do not affect the console condition requirements for selling video games.
The disc is in good shape or is repairable, meeting the console condition requirements. It should not have top scratching, and the cover art must show no discoloration, water damage, wrinkling, or tears, aligning with game condition grading standards. For Blu-ray discs, only very light scratches are acceptable when you decide to sell video games.
Disc Based Deductions:
Damaged cover art may incur a deduction of 50%-100%, or the loose price where applicable. If the disc becomes unplayable after repair, it could result in a 100% deduction.
The cartridge is in excellent condition with no marker, deep scratching, or stickers, meeting the console condition requirements. The cartridge pins are clean, free of debris, and not corroded, which is essential for accurate game condition grading. Labels exhibit no major tears, folds, or discoloration, ensuring the overall quality for those looking to sell video games.
Cartridge Based Deductions:
Major cleaning required: 25%-50%
Front Label Wear or heavy wear of any kind: 50%-100%
To meet the console condition requirements, all items must be fully tested, operational, cleaned, and show little to no scratching or wear. A factory reset is required where applicable, and items must include a battery cover if necessary.
When it comes to game condition grading, here are the handheld deductions you should consider:
- Heavy wear of any kind: 50%-100% deduction
- Not fully operational: 50%-100% deduction
- Parental PIN lock: a $10 deduction
- Not factory reset (where applicable): a $5 deduction
- Screen Replacement Required (GB/GBP/GBC/GBA): a $7 deduction
These factors are important if you plan to sell video games, as they significantly affect the overall value.
